Do you still have COVID-19 or other tax debts? Please be aware that from January 1, 2024, the collection interest rate you must pay on this type of debt will return to the level before the COVID-19 crisis.

Increase in collection interest rate

The collection interest rate was at a low of 0.01% for a while but was increased to 1% as of July 1, 2022. From January 1, 2023, until June 30, 2023, the collection interest rate was already at 2%, and as of July 1, 2023, it reached 3%. As of January 1, 2024, the collection interest rate stands at 4%. The collection interest rate is currently fixed at 4% and is therefore no longer, as it was before the COVID-19 crisis, equal to the tax interest rate applicable to income tax, which is 7.5% in 2024.
